The society provides a framework for the experience, education and ultimately enjoyment of astronomy. It achieves this through regular observing sessions, talks, events, trips and the opportunity for discussion with like-minded individuals within the society.
The society endeavours to provide a welcoming environment to all of it's members regardless of their experience/knowledge of astronomy.
