Events

Goodricke is famous for its hugely successful and popular events. After a packed Freshers Week you will be able to attend a huge range of events to be put on throughout the year. Some of our legendary events which you can expect to see at some point in the next year are:

Goodricke Invasion – Goodricke embarks on a massive invasion of main campus. Put on your camouflage gear, evade the guards and see if you can be the first Goodricke soldier to make it to all the campus bars without being caught once!

Graffiti Bar Crawls – Join hundreds of Goodrickers as we go on a massive barcrawl in town and end up in Ziggy’s Nightclub. Get your t shirt, grab a pen and prepare to write on anyone and everyone (see how long it takes before you end up with whiskers on your face and a penis on your back!)

GoodFest – 2011 Summer term was host to Goodricke College’s very own Goodfest. 12 hours of food, drink, games, live music, performances and so much more all in and around Goodricke itself!

Christmas Ball – Once a year, every year Goodrickers smarten up and pretend that we’re a bit more sophisticated than we really are when we hold our annual Christmas Ball. A fantastic and atmospheric night that you’ll never forget.

City Trips – Whether its Manchester, Newcastle or even just Leeds down the road, Goodricke loves taking its students on a night out somewhere different. Extremely eventful and a load of fun.

Monday Night Bar(less) Quizzes – Goodricke may not have its own bar anymore, but that doesn’t stop us from holding weekly quizzes in our JCR. Come down with a few mates and a few drinks, and see if you can win some of our fantastic prizes!

Wednesday Film Night – If you fancy a quiet one then head to the GCR on Wednesdays to watch a film and scoff on some free food and drink provided by your JCRC.
