Subcommittees are set up by the JCRC in order to specialise in organising and/or provisioning specific JCRC events or activities. Whilst they can be set up and dissolved by the JCRC at anytime depending on its needs, such as in organising the annual Winter and Summer balls as well as Goodfest our legendary college summer festival there are three subcommittees which are required by the constitution (in its current revision) to be set up by every consecutive JCRC.
Consisting of the: Bar Officers, ENTs Officers, Social Officers, Treasurer and chaired by the Vice Chair for Services, it is the role of the Events Subcommittee to be responsible for coordinating the events being held by the JCRC and/or to facilitate joint events between multiple Officer positions or other colleges.
Consisting of the: Welfare Officers, LGBT Officers, International Officers, Disabilities Officers and chaired by the Vice Chair for Welfare, it is the role of the Welfare Subcommittee to be responsible for coordinating Welfare, academic and careers activities as performed by the Welfare Officer(s), the LGBT Officer(s), the International Officer(s) and the Disabilities Officer(s).
Consisting of the: Chair, Vice Chair for Services, Vice Chair for Welfare, Treasurer, Secretary, Welfare Officers, ENTs Officers and Social Officers, it is the role of the Freshers’ Week Subcommittee to be responsible for the provision and organisation of Freshers’ Week each year.
