Privacy

We do not collect any personal information if you simply browse our website. Some features require you to login using either Facebook or the University of York’s single sign-on (SSO) login system. When you sign in using Facebook, we collect a unique ID, identifying you on Facebook, your first name and your last name. When you sign in using the University of York SSO system we collect your university username, whether you are a member of Goodricke College, and the first name and last name you provide.

Our web server build logs of activity including a log of users’ IP addresses. This is done in order to gather demographic and other statistical information about user behaviour to measure the popularity and effectiveness of our site. Based on log information, the College will occasionally share anonymous aggregate statistics about our web site visitors and traffic with third parties.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States of America.
