Goodricke College cares strongly about the personal and academic development of its students, and above all fostering an exceptional community spirit. Goodricke is located on the University of York, Campus East and is home to around 600 resident students, with roughly 1850 members overall. We have some of the latest and highest quality accommodation as the first of several colleges to move to Campus East in 2009. Our accommodation consists of single study bedrooms, studio flats, shared houses, and accessible rooms, which are organised in blocks.
Goodricke holds regular social events, such as the Goodricke Gallop, BBQs, Film Nights, etc. which allow students to socialise, relax, and make friends. We encourage our students to try new things, with a focus on volunteering and enterprise allowing our students to develop their skills and experience, and explore who they want to be. The Treasury Subgroup
The Treasury subgroup is made up of a Treasurer, two Environment and Ethic officers, two RAG officers, a Merch officer and a Sponsorship officer. As a subgroup, we are really looking forward to putting on lots of events to raise awareness for both our college charity, Changing Lives, and the environment around us and try to promote a more ethical way of living. The Treasurer and Sponsorship officer are in charge of all things finance for the college including managing budgets for events like freshers week and Goodfest as well as partnering with businesses like Streamline Taxis in sponsorships. We are also super excited to hopefully design some really cool merch for Goodricke so keep your eyes on the lookout for that!
